Having designed POP IDOL in the u.k. it was a natural transition for me to design the U.S. version re named AMERICAN IDOL.  10 years and 5 sets later the show became the single most succesful television show in US history. I am delighted that I was nominated three times for an Emmy and won for best scenic design the fourth time. Pictured on this page is one of the Christmas specials we did from the Pasadena Civic auditorium.
